Educational tools only — not medical care
Migraine Trail is not a healthcare provider, medical service, or medical device. These tools use information you enter and simplified educational rules. They may be incomplete or wrong and cannot examine you.
- Results do not diagnose, rule out, confirm, or predict any disease, headache type, trigger, emergency, or personal medical risk.
- Do not start, stop, combine, delay, or change a medicine or treatment—and do not delay professional care—because of a result.
- Labels such as “pattern,” “alignment,” “score,” “threshold,” “risk,” or “urgency” are educational summaries, not clinical findings or probabilities.
Discuss symptoms and decisions with a licensed healthcare professional who knows your history. For a child, involve a parent or guardian and an appropriate pediatric clinician.
If symptoms may be an emergency, stop using this site. Call your local emergency number or seek emergency care now. Never wait for or rely on a tool result.
Free personal impact estimate
Migraine Cost & Productivity Calculator
Estimate what migraine costs you in missed time, reduced output, unpaid household work, and direct expenses.
Use your own hourly values and out-of-pocket costs. This tool does not assume a national salary, exchange rate, employer overhead, insurance payment, or tax treatment.
How the estimate is calculated
The calculator intentionally keeps every assumption visible. If your income varies, use an average hourly value. If paid leave covered a missed day, decide whether you are estimating immediate lost income, used leave value, or broader productivity impact and enter the rate that matches that purpose.
Frequently asked questions
How is reduced productivity calculated?
The calculator converts your productivity-loss percentage into equivalent lost hours. Five eight-hour days at 40% productivity loss equal 16 hours of lost output.
Should I count paid sick leave?
It depends on your purpose. Paid leave may prevent immediate wage loss but still uses a limited benefit and represents missed productive time. Keep your interpretation consistent and explain it when sharing the estimate.
Can I use this for insurance or a legal claim?
Not by itself. Formal claims may require receipts, payroll evidence, medical documentation, professional economic analysis, and rules specific to your location.
